Riley is changing so rapidly, some days I just want to push pause! Riley's temperament has changed quite a bit too. Colic seems to be totally fading and has not reared its ugly head in many days. Now Riley only cries if she is too tired or hungry! Yea!

We went to her four month check up this morning. Our doctor said Riley looked great! Riley has gained some weight. Praise God!!! She is still very much on the small side but growing and that is what matters! Our doctor has recommended that we not start other foods (rice cereal or oatmeal) until she is 6 months due to her extremely sensitive stomach. By that time, hopefully Riley's tummy will be strong and ready to digest more than milk. And although Riley still spits up a ridiculous amount, the doctor said as long as it is not making her upset or in pain that she will be fine and will hopefully grow out of this reflux soon.
Here are her stats:
Length: 24 1/4 inches (50%)
Head: 15 1/2 inches (10-25%)
Weight: 10 lbs 9 oz (5%) (I was ecstatic to see her over 10 pounds!)
She has been so much more active and engaged this month. Here are some things she's up to:
-She has found her hands and loves to put them in her mouth.
-She will turn her head to find me or Clay when we are talking
-She will now take 2 30-45 minute naps in her crib (again Praise God!!!)
-She still loves to "stand" and is working on sitting in her Bumbo.
-She now reaches for a few things and loves to reach and touch faces, especially Clays)
-She is now grabbing and holding onto a few select toys
-She will bring her hands together now and loves to rest or eat with her arms behind her head
-Riley has much more control of her head and
-She makes more and different noises and will do many in a row (like a conversation!)
Riley we love you more and thank God for you each day!
